Steve oversees Astech’s operations and strategic planning. He started with an apprenticeship at Nelson’s Griffins Confectionery. In 1995, he and Andy conceived the business idea at a pub. Steve enjoys fishing, diving, boating, and is a passionate Warriors fan and motor racing enthusiast.
Andy Osborne - Director
Andy, Astech’s co-founder, oversees client relations and projects. With 42 years as an electrician, he’s experienced in all areas. He enjoys travelling, watching sports and classic cars. He also has a secret love for oil painting.
Tulson Caird – Service Manager
Tulson, our Service Manager, specializes in commercial electrical services, EV infrastructure, and solar power. With Astech for two decades, he rejoined in 2014 after moving to Australia in 2008. A former Warriors Reserves player, he enjoys surfing, tennis, squash, and family time.
Aaron Richards – Contracts Manager
Aaron, our Contracts Manager, oversees high-end residential and commercial projects. Joining Astech in 2013, he's skilled in industrial, commercial, residential, and home automation. Outside work, he enjoys outdoor activities with family, kayaking, fishing, snowboarding, and diving.
Jarrod McCallum – Renewables Manager
Jarrod, with Astech for over a decade, specializes in renewable tech and electrical work. A Warriors and Chiefs supporter, he enjoys catching up on games and time with friends. Remarkably, he survived a plane crash in the Australian Outback.
Jenny Townsend – Accounts Administrator
Jenny, our accounts administrator since early 2022, manages office operations, accounts, and payroll. She's passionate about mental health, supporting BT Race for Mates, and hosts annual Pink Ribbon events. Outside work, she enjoys socializing, caring for her dog, and cheering “Up the Wahs!”
Holly
Holly is your the first point of contact at Astech and handles general admin and office work. Outside of work, she enjoys reformer Pilates and has a young daughter who keeps her very busy. When Holly lived in Perth, Australia, she competed in state competitions for surf lifesaving
Sam Lewis - Estimator
Sam, an Otago graduate and Junior Electrical Estimator since 2023, handles job pricing and tender documentation. He liaises with clients and suppliers, manages budgets, and conducts cost analyses. Outside work, he enjoys family, friends, Tinder dates, diving, fishing, and snowboarding.
